Tis the season!
When does the festive season truly begin? It’s a controversial question every year. 1st of November or 1st of December…
Autumn makes the topic a bit trickier, with the season often being ignored with the hype for Christmas building. But in Darlington, the festive season is about to commence with the Christmas Light Switch On taking place on Sunday 19th November.
17:30. Market Square. It’s bound to be a busy but exciting time. As the sun sets earlier and earlier, the dark night sky creeps in before work finishes!
Queen Elizabeth is also hosting a Christmas market on the 9th of December, don’t forget to add it to your calendars! With over 30 stalls, cake, a face-painter and a raffle, why wouldn’t you want to spend a few hours there?
Even the supermarkets are releasing their Christmas adverts, a Wonka parody from Aldi and an interesting racoon from Lidl, meaning the festive season is beginning with a bang. Lights, hot chocolate, music and more are bound to be filling the November air in no time. Better scurry to the shops before the rush kicks in - don’t want to be caught up in that whirlwind of merry stress.
Enjoy the festive season before it melts away!
