DARLINGTON MOWDEN PARK have made five changes to their starting line-up for tomorrow’s home game with Old Elthamians as they look to return to winning ways after slipping from the top of the National One table last weekend.

Mowden suffered their first loss of the season seven days ago, but will be hoping to extend their unbeaten home run as they take on an Old Elthamians side that have won four games on the spin to move into the top six.

Mowden director of rugby Danny Brown can call upon on Grant Connon, who missed last week’s trip to Old Albanians. The full-back will run out alongside brother, Brett, who starts at fly-half, with the pair starting together for the first time in their careers.

Elsewhere in the backs, Shaun McCartney replaces Adam Radwan, with the latter starting for Newcastle Falcons in their European Challenge Cup game with the Dragons. Garry Law starts alongside Chris Auld in a strong centre pairing.

Mowden have named an unchanged front row, with Alfie Barron, Chris Wood and Ralph Appleby continuing up front. A new second-row pairing sees Jake Brady and Joe Craggs return from injury, while top try scorer Simon Uzokwe starts in the number seven shirt.

On the bench, 20 year-old Jordan Poole is in line for his senior debut after impressing last week for the club’s development side. Talite Vaioleti and Matt Heaton round off a strong bench of forwards, with Ben Frankland and Brandon Asher-Wood completing the squad.
