Northallerton Police made it two wins out of two in Division One after a 3-1 success at newly-promoted Stokesley SC last Sunday.

The Police found themselves a goal down when Andrew Murphy fired home after 20 minutes, but Dan Cardie made it 1-1 at the break with a header.

Cardie added his second just two minutes after the restart, converting a Chris Pattison cross and Johnny Morris headed home a corner 20 minutes from time to seal victory Great Broughton Hibs have also opened with two wins after they beat Kildale 6-1. The game was as good as over by half time as goals from Paul Storey, Patrick Wheatley and Mark Casey had the Hibs in control, while Wheatley then went on to complete his hat-trick with Casey adding his second to complete the Kildale misery.

Unison GLR remain unbeaten after they beat struggling Spotted Dog 7-1 at County Hall.

Thomas Bunn gave the hosts a second minute lead. Matthew Dodsworth and Lee Shardha made it 3-0 before the break while Colin Anderson then hit a second-half hat-trick before Shardha completed the rout late on. Jason Tibbet hit the Dog consolation.

In Division Two, Nags Head United beat visitors Bromptonon- Swale 6-1 with goals from Mike Stimson, John Bell (2), Adam Hodgeson (2) and Matthew Walker. The visitors grabbed a late consolation through Andy Robertson.

Henleys beat visitors Blue Star 3-1 with goals from Guy Smith, Adrian Woodward and Chris Garbutt. Shaun Charlton replied for Star.

Cowtons enjoyed a 5-2 home win over Travaux FC. Mark Sims hit a hat-trick while Andrew Wake and a late own goal completed the scoring. Ashley Lytolis and Jon McGuigan were on target for the visitors.

In Division Three, there was a thrilling encounter at Topcliffe where the hosts drew 5-5 with Bar One. The visitors looked set for a win as strikes from Roy Smith, Paul Humphreys and Johnny Quinlan gave them a 3-0 half-time lead but Topcliffe fought back after the break.

A brace apiece from Gareth Barber and Aaron Bumby saw them take the lead, but Jason Carson brought Bar One level.

The hosts looked to have sealed the points when Matthew Lawley put them ahead again with 15 minutes remaining but Carson ensured the game ended even with a late equaliser.

Two of the league’s new boys met at Memorial Gardens in Northallerton where visitors Masons Arms beat Northern Dons 8-3. The Mayor of Northallerton, Sally Anderson, blew the first whistle to mark the opening of the new pitch and it seemed to inspire the Dons as Leigh Humsdon and a Stan Parry penalty saw them lead 2-1 inside 20 minutes, but it soon began to go wrong.

The visitors scored five times in 15 minutes after the restart so a second for Parry proved no more than a consolation for the Dons, who are still waiting for their first win of the season.
