The annual Dales Festival of Golf, involving Richmond, Bedale and Catterick Golf Clubs took place over three days this month, on 17 (Richmond), 18 (Bedale) and 19 (Catterick).

The competition is played as pairs with the overall stableford scores from the three days deciding the winners.

As ever, the competition was tough and arduous over 54 holes of golf with Gents, Ladies and Mixed Teams from across the region and beyond.

This year the overall winning pair of Ladies came from Richmond Golf Club, with Vicky Johnson and Eileen Catt achieving a tremendous score of 116 points.

The overall second place for the Ladies, also with a great score of 113 points, was Mary-Anne Hyde and Sue Kiplin – also from Richmond Golf Club.

Claire Bateman, this year’s Lady Captain at Richmond Golf Club, said… “We are so delighted that the overall 1st and 2nd place for Ladies in the Dales Festival of Golf came from our great Club, and we’re very proud.”
