Richmond Golf Club held an Open Competition for Senior Gents on Tuesday 2nd June.
Despite blustery and showery conditions, the Open attracted a large number of golfers from across the North East and from further afield.
The results were as follows:
1st. Richard Liddle & Steven Saunders, Richmond, 43 points.
2nd. Duncan Bell & Micheal Howey, Houghton le Springs, 42 points.
3rd. Paul Greenbank & Phil Codman, Richmond, 42 points.
4th. Robert Smith & William Banks, Catterick, 42 points.
5th. Guy Pini & Stewart Thompson, Richmond, 41 points.
6th. Albert Nowicki & John Cheung, Richmond, 40 points.
Best Gross: Tim Jones & Neil Clough, Ripon.
Nearest the pin 9th: Stephen Ledger, Beamish.
Nearest the pin 18th: Melvyn Brian, Hartlepool.
Ivan Rookes, Gents Captain at Richmond Golf Club said: "An excellent turn-out for the Open with some fantastic scores.
