A former Bedale High School student has landed a coaching job in Nepal.
Simon Grayson, 55, who was last in charge of Indian Super League club Bengaluru FC, will be the head coach of Lalitpur City for the 2025 season.
The reigning champions competed in the Nepal Super League, which kicked on March 29.
Mr Grayson said on social media: "I’m delighted to have joined Lalitpur City Football Club for the 2025 Nepal Super League.
"Even though it’s only a short two-month league, I’m really looking forward to coaching players, developing a team, and improving the standard of Nepalese football both on and off the pitch.
"Working with players on a daily basis is something I love doing, and working in a different country always takes you out of your comfort zone and to a new level of experience.
"Can’t wait to get out to Nepal in March."
During his time at Bengaluru FC, Grayson guided the club to the Super League final but lost on penalties to ATK Mohun Bagan.
In June 2024, he was linked with the India national team but never took on the role.
Since leaving Bengaluru FC in December 2023, Grayson has worked as a football pundit.
The former Leeds United, Blackpool, Huddersfield, Sunderland, Blackpool, Fleetwood, Bradford and Preston North End manager will head out to South Asia ahead of the country's season start.
Lalitpur is located in the south-central part of Kathmandu Valley, in central Nepal, at an altitude of 1,400 metres (4,600 feet).
