Saltburn motorcycle racer Davey Todd was one of the stars of the show at Briggs International North West 200 in Northern Ireland where he came away with a hat-trick of wins.
With the Causeway coast bathed in sunshine for the week-long festival around the 8.9-mile closed public roads course that links the towns of Portstewart, Coleraine and Portrush, Todd emerged victorious in Thursday’s opening Superstock race aboard his Milwaukee BMW, after crashing out spectacularly when another rider collided with him in the opening Supersport race.
Battered and bruised, Todd went on to win the second Supersport race on Saturday on his Ducati which he followed up with another Superstock win, and just for good measure, he finished second behind local hero Glenn Irwin in all three Superbike races.
