LEEMING United hosted Catterick Garrison Football Centre on Sunday and won 4-0 in the semi-final of Hillsprint Hambleton Football Combination's Bob Seymour Trophy.

Leeming took the lead on 30 minutes courtesy of an own goal by Catterick. Bleddyn House scored a second on 44 minutes for Leeming. In the second half two further goals by Tom Fream and Gokul Limbu secured Leeming’s place in the final against either Shorthorn, South Otterington or Golden Lion, N’ton.

In division one, Cowtons hosted Catterick Village and had a comfortable 6-0 win. Cowtons' scorers were Mark Sims and Kalem Stanger with a brace each and further goals from Scott Ryan and Danial Rafiq. One of Sims goals was a penalty.

Sessay Cricket Club entertained Knayton on the pitch they share at Hillside Rural Activities Park, Knayton. After a goalless first half, Knayton took the lead on 47 minutes through John Martin. Jake Porter put Knayton 2-0 up on 56 minutes. Sessay stormed back, scoring three goals through Mark Jackson, Chris Morrison and Richard Thompson to go 3-2 up. Tom Griffiths equalised for Knayton with ten minutes to go, and Porter scored his second for Knayton on 86 minutes to give Knayton the lead. This proved to be the winner in an exciting game.

Second placed Sportsman’s visited Kildale and won 5-2. Jack Stapley and Aaron Ramsbottom gave Sporty’s a 2-0 half time lead. Stapley

scored his second on 60 minutes before Lewis Wood and Seb Hanratty scored for Kildale to make it 3-2 Sporty’s. Scott McNichol and Colin Anderson scored two late goals to give Sporty’s a comfortable win, which moved them to the top of the table.

In division two, third-placed Golden Lion, N’ton hosted Oddies WMC N’ton and won 2-1 in a very close game. After a goalless first half Ben Darville put Lion ahead on 47 minutes. This looked to be the winner however, Oddies were awarded a penalty on 89 minutes which Jordan Wallace scored, but in the 92nd minute, Darville scored his second goal to win the game for Lion and move them up to second in the league.

Catterick Rovers hosted Katch, N’ton and had a comfortable 6-0 win. Bailey Proudlock and Sam Carter scored a brace apiece with further goals being scored by Gus Glass and Jake Fleming.
