BOTTOM club Knayton visited top club Stokesley Wanderers in the first division of the Hillsprint Hambleton Football Combination and produced the shock result of the day winning 3-2.

Harry Riordan put Knayton 1-0 up after 15 minutes. Wanderers hit back and were awarded a penalty on 22 minutes. Knayton goalkeeper Matthew Hogg saved Matty Smith's penalty kick to keep his goal intact. On 33 minutes Dom Rayner put Knayton 2-0 up. Two minutes later James Stinson reduced the arrears for Wanderers, and the home side equalised on 65 minutes when Jack Johnston scored direct from a corner. With three minutes remaining Richard Fawcett scored a third for Knayton which proved to be the winner.

Fifth-placed Durham Ox visited eighth-placed Streetlam Farmers and won 6-2. Dan Baxter put Ox ahead after two minutes, but Sam Turnbull equalised for Streetlam four minutes later. Ryan Monaghan White put Streetlam ahead on 28 minutes. Baxter equalised for Ox on 35 minutes, and in the second half, Ox scored a further four goals without reply through Chris Smales, Raiden Smithson Hogg, Jacob Lever and a penalty from Charlie Bingley. The win moves Ox up to third in the table.

Seventh-placed Sessay Cricket Club hosted sixth-placed Kildale and drew 3-3 in a true game of two halves. Sessay won the first half 3-0 with goals from Richard Thompson, Craig Ross and Karl Carver. Kildale won the second half 3-0 with a brace from Harry Chown and a further goal from Cameron Wright. Honours even and league positions unchanged.

The Cowtons v Catterick Village game was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

In division two, second-placed Shorthorn, South Otterington hosted Katch, N’ton and won 8-1. Joe Martin and James Coatsworth both scored hat tricks for Shorthorn with further goals from Blake Smithson and Jacob Stayman Collin. Rabar Amin was the Katch scorer.

Third-placed Golden Lion, N’ton hosted White Bear, Bedale and won 8-0 with a hat trick from Eddie Thornborough, a brace from Paul Humphreys and further goals from Josh Watson, Nathan Wakeling and Lee Manamley.

Fourth-placed Leeming United hosted fifth-placed Oddies WMC and won 4-1 with a brace from Tom Fream and further goals from Jack Howes and Peter Davies. Jordan Wallace scored Oddie’s goal in the 89th minute.

Catterick Rovers hosted Catterick Garrison Football Centre and drew 1-1 with both goals coming in the first half. Gus Glass put Rovers ahead with Karl Dinsdale equalising for Garrison on 24 minutes.
