NEWSHAM'S 22-year-old Ben Tennant battled with some of Europe's top enduro competitors at Kilburn, near Thirsk.
Enduro events are a combination of stamina, rough terrain, high speeds and time factors. Ben took second place in the keenly contested Clubman class riding his CJT Engineering sponsored Beta machine.
Kendal international Jonny Walker won the Expert class from Bradford's KTM rider Will Hoare and Skeeby's Jono Richardson who competed riding his Husqvarna machine. Jono had worked the previous evening until 11pm driving a combine at his father's farm.
