THE Race the Train Trail Race took place in Wensleydale on Sunday, March 8.
The event included a circular 14-mile route starting from Leyburn Shawl and finishing at Leyburn station, and a point to point five and half mile route from Redmire to Leyburn, with a train ride to the starting point on the Wensleydale Railway.
Runners taking on the five and a half mile route were invited to try and beat the train back, with a rough pace of ten minutes per mile needed to do so.
