THIS week had a more autumnal feel to it and was not quite so busy for Richmond and Zetland Harriers, but that’s only if you discount 10kms, parkruns, throws competitions and longer more testing courses.

It was the local Middlesbrough 10km which is always very well supported by our runners and this year was no exception. Ian Christon was the first finisher for the club in 32nd and again just off his PB with another good run (36:35), Jeremy Pattison was next in 48th and a season’s best (38:06, sb), Ken Harker followed in 64th (38:56).

Tom O’Mahoney was third overall in a new pb (9:44, pb), just behind was Josh Hammett in fourth and another with a new pb (9:46, pb) and Joe Reeve who had a few logistical issues to deal with in sixth (10:01).

Dan Upton was in Southport for the Waterloo open meeting and continues his excellent form in the throws events winning both the shot (12:50) and the discus (38:83) and he also had a go at the javelin.
