YOUNG netballers in the North-East are celebrating success as they go on to represent the region at the biggest schools competition in the national netball calendar.
Yarm School’s Under-16s and Under-19s netball squads have qualified for the National Schools Netball Competition where they will represent the North
East.
Alex Elwine, 18, a pupil at Yarm School and team captain of the U19s squad, said: “We wanted to represent the Tees Valley in the best possible way by reaching the national finals, but knew that it would be a challenge with tough competition to beat.
“We are delighted to have qualified and are now training hard and looking forward to representing the North-East in the finals in March.”
