HORSE racing fans are being offered a sure-fire winner with a fantastic value for money offer to enjoy the sport of kings at some of the country’s most beautiful courses.

They say there are no certainties in racing, but the Go Racing in Yorkshire season ticket represents value that simply can’t be beaten.

Applications are now being taken for the 2019/2020 season ticket, costing just £360 for a single racegoer and £570 for two people.

Yorkshire is renowned for its rich racing traditions, with some of the country’s leading trainers based in the county.

‘Middleham Maestro’ Mark Johnston broke the record in 2018 for training the most winners in the UK, while multiple Group 1 winner Laurens, also trained in Wensleydale by Karl Burke, was named Yorkshire’s racehorse of the year. Richard Fahey and Tim Easterby were among those ensuring the winners kept flowing from Malton, while Hambleton’s Bryan Smart was another to achieve Group 1 success.

Nine courses come under the Go Racing in Yorkshire banner – Beverley, Catterick, Doncaster, Pontefract, Redcar, Ripon, Thirsk, Wetherby and York – and the season ticket offers savings of more than £1,300.

Doncaster is the home of the world’s oldest classic, the St Leger, and York’s Ebor Festival is one of the highlights of the international racing calendar.

The season ticket is valid from March 1, 2019 to February 28, 2020, with Grandstand and Paddock admission to more than 180 meetings, guaranteeing the most cost-effective way to go racing across the north.

Season ticket-holders only need to attend a meeting once a fortnight to easily cover their costs, amounting to just £6 a week for a full year of racing action. It’s easy to use and transfers into the Members’ Enclosure can be made at most meetings.

And as if that’s not enough, the ticket is also a pass into at least 10 free days at selected Yorkshire County Cricket Club matches.

So, if you are considering a gift for someone who loves their racing, look no further.
