THE BBC has a good reputation for sensible broadcasting but sometimes the questions their presenters ask leave me in despair.
In the earlier part of the year there was a fear that the NHS could be overwhelmed by the coronavirus so hospitals, organised by the government, were quickly constructed.
The BBC, as your readers will know if they watch Newsnight, are not fans of the Government.
On Sunday (July 5) on The Andrew Marr Show the presenter hit a new low asking his guest Sir Simon Stevens, Chief Executive of NHS England the following question “Huge hospitals were built but only very few people were treated in them, was this not a waste of resources?”
Can you imagine the reaction of the BBC presenters if the hospitals hadn’t been built and the NHS had been overwhelmed.
Andrew Marr should be taken to task for such a silly question.
