IN recent weeks many people have been buying a little extra when doing their weekly shopping (even without panic buying).
Much of this will have been purchased by credit card.
Wouldn’t it be a nice gesture for the credit card companies to reduce their exorbitant interest rates charged when people cannot pay off their balance in full immediately.
Our own credit card company charges 15.9 per cent pa and no doubt there are a lot more higher ones around.
Despite the Bank of England “slashing” the base rate from 0.25 per cent to 0.1 per cent, credit card companies merrily go their own way charging sky high rates.
We are all supposed to be in this crisis together but clearly credit card companies are not.
