Sir, – I refer to various letters in the D&S recently on the subject of speed cameras. Speed cameras do not work as the Department of Transport traffic laboratory reports show. One or two at very selected sites might, but not saturation at the expense of proper traffic policing, which has all but disappeared.
What people must understand is they have been offered either/or, not both.
