Sir, – I lived in Great Ayton many years ago before I moved to Canada.
I did write to your newspaper a few years ago regarding the traffic in Great Ayton, hoping that one day it would have a one-way system.
I am visiting again (still no one-way system) but how shocked I was walking through the village recently with all the dog excrement on the pavements – a terrible mess.
Why are the dog owners not fined? Also, why are there no street cleaners? This used to be a beautiful village – alas, no more.
