THOUSANDS flocked into Northallerton for the sixth Homegrown Food Festival on Sunday to enjoy the great cooking, non-stop summer music and plenty for people of all ages to enjoy together.
It is truly a fantastic achievement for an event run almost entirely by volunteers, many returning every year.
Over 50 volunteers came together over the weekend to set up the festival site and provide an excellent visitor experience.
On behalf of the small committee of volunteers who work tirelessly to create this special community event; I offer my heartfelt thanks to all these volunteers with a special mention to Rotary Club of Northallerton, Hambleton Community Action, Northallerton Scouts and Guides and Applegarth Primary School. Roll on summer 2018.
