I WROTE to you about the £757,000 being paid out in redundancy to three Hambleton council officers (D&S Times, Dec 30).
Well, now I read that the council is asking for everyone to volunteer to pay £35 a year to have their green bins emptied.
Just so people understand what I get so worked up about, to cover the £757,000, all they need is 21,628 of us to volunteer to pay and there you go, redundancies covered.
Marvellous.
T Rhodes, Bedale
