Food critic I AM in full agreement with Martin Crowson's remarks in his letter regarding Malcolm Warne's Eating Out column (D&S Times, July 17). I have never been able to understand why it takes him, and other writers of this column, so long to get down to the real business in hand, namely the restaurant and its food.
However, what I would like to know is who does the driving on the homeward journey, as it would appear that all members of the party partake of alcoholic drinks? If my assumption is incorrect I apologise. Is it really necessary to choose expensive wines at the expense of the D&S?
