CELEBRITY chef Paul Rankin showed pupils at Yarm School how to make healthy smoothies as he helped to celebrate the official opening of the school’s new cooking and dining facilities.
Mr Rankin spent yesterday morning helping the preparatory school pupils learn about nutritious eating before overseeing a Ready Steady Cook challenge in the new kitchen.
The chef was master of ceremonies for a head-to-head between the school’s headteacher, David Dunn, and his deputy, David Woodward.
The competitive pair were ably assisted by the school’s chefs and aspiring young cooks as Green Peppers took on Red Tomatoes.
