The dates when a village Post Office will relocate have been announced.

Appleton Wiske post office will move to the Village Hall grounds in Front Street in November.

Its current location will close on Thursday, October 15, at 5.30pm, and the new location will open on Wednesday, November 3, at 11.30am.

The same operator will continue to provide services at the new location, with the postmaster planning the move for some time to a new self-contained unit.

During the interim, customers can use the nearby West Rounton Post Office.

The new premises will feature a Post Office serving point at the retail counter and will be equipped with a wide door and a ramp at the entrance.

The Post Office assures that the same wide range of services will still be available, with no change to opening hours.
