A driver has been arrested after a crash which left two people with potential spinal injuries.
Cleveland Police said the two-vehicle crash happened at about 2.30pm on Tuesday on Saltburn Road in Upleatham and involved a blue Subaru and a blue VW Passat.
A 20-year-old man, who was driving the Subaru, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving. He was bailed pending further enquiries.
The passengers of the VW Passat and the Subaru were both taken to hospital with potential spinal injuries.
Officers are urging anyone with information or anyone with relevant dash cam footage to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 179417.
