A home in Brompton, near Northallerton, was burgled overnight while the occupants were asleep upstairs.
The incident took place on Wide Yard between 11pm yesterday, Wednesday, August 21, and 7am today, Thursday, August 22.
Police said during the incident, unknown individuals gained entry to the home through the front door, searched the ground floor, and stole a set of vehicle keys. At the time, the occupants were asleep upstairs.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We are particularly keen to identify the suspects involved. We’re asking members of the public to check any CCTV footage, doorbell cameras, or other recordings from the relevant times with a particular focus around 2am.
"Anyone who noticed suspicious activity or individuals is encouraged to come forward.
"Residents living in the areas of Village Green, Church View, and Orchard Grove in Brompton, may be especially well-placed to provide valuable information due to their proximity to the burglary.
