Organisers of a charity duck race are promising to make a splash in the name of good causes.
Stockton Round Table is holding the event at Tees Barrage International White Water Centre on Saturday, August 17.
Hundreds of yellow rubber ducks will bob down the course, each one racing to the finish line to win prizes for their sponsors, and to raise funds for charities, Daisy Chain and Three13.
Dan Mills, chairman of Stockton Round Table, said: “This event is all about community spirit, sustainability, and generosity. It’s the perfect way to have a great time with your loved ones and support the heart of Stockton, including the incredible work done by Daisy Chain and Three13.”
The race will begin at 2pm, and organisers have pledged that all rubber ducks will be removed after the event. As well as the race, there will be family festivities, including entertainment and food stalls.
