Police said a "distinctive" motocross bike was stolen in a burglary in Hornby, near Northallerton.

Officers are urging anyone who has seen the bright orange KTM 125 SX motocross bike or been offered it for sale, to get in touch.

It has a blue custom seat cover that says "Bridgestone" and the words "Go Faster" hand-written on the bar pad.

The bike also features a number of stickers that include the number 46, "Athena", "Lily Hall", "Motorex" and "Apico".

The burglary is believed to happened on Monday, June 10 between 1am and 8am.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "The bike may have found its way to Darlington.

"The suspects also stole an air rifle in a Webley green gun slip. The air rifle has a light and dark green camouflage print. It's also had a Hawke scope fitted and tripod attached.

"Did you see or hear any suspicious activity in the village around the time of burglary?

"Do you have any private CCTV or dashcam coverage that may have captured vehicles in that area at that date and time?

"If you have been offered any of the items for sale or has information about the burglary or the bike, please get in touch.
