CATTERICK. – Last week, members enjoyed a walk around Agriscource Machinery at Caldwell with our host Mr Paul Bellas. Members enjoyed a brilliant night of farm machinery valuation – well done to James and Matthew Anderson for winning. Well done to everyone for competing at county rally and for successes in many classes with members off to northern area and national finals.

This week, despite the rain, members enjoyed a brilliant night at Metcalfe Farms. There was a great turnout of members, who enjoyed learning about the business and their many enterprises and diversifications, such as the dairy unit, quarrying, haulage and contracting operations. Thanks to Steve Allen and Nick Metcalfe for such an interesting and enjoyable night and kind hospitality!

Next week's meeting is at Romanby Golf Club for a driving range activity. Unfortunately, due to limited space, only 20 members can attend. Meet at Romanby Golf Club (DL7 0PE) at 7.45pm for a 8pm start. Our club AGM is on Tuesday, June 25, 7pm, at Hackforth Village Hall.
