A man walked out of a popular farm shop without paying for more than £170-worth of goods, and police are investigating.

Officers have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to following the theft from Mainsgill Farmshop, Moor Lane, East Layton, beside the A66.

The incident happened on Thursday, March 14 and involved a man leaving the store without paying for items worth about £170.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Please contact us if you recognise the man pictured on CCTV, as he may have information that will assist our investigation.
