WARRINGTON went to the polls yesterday, Thursday.
Voting was open from 7am until 10pm.
Residents were voting in local elections and for the next Cheshire police and crime commissioner. While in some areas there were also parish council elections.
All seats are available at Warrington Town Hall.
But it will take a while for the results to come in.
Votes were not counted last night and will be verified today, Friday.
Warrington Borough Council has confirmed results are expected on the afternoon of tomorrow, Saturday, May 4, with declarations starting earlier afternoon and expected to run to around 4pm.
At the moment Labour holds the power with 36 councillors.
The Conservatives have 10 councillors, the Liberal Democrats eight and there are four independents.
For crime commissioner, John Dwyer defends for the Conservatives, Dan Price is standing for Labour and Paul Duffy for the Liberal Democrats.
That results will be declared in Halton, again expected around tea time.
Parish council results meanwhile will take longer. They will be counted on Sunday with results expected around lunchtime.
