Three young siblings spent the Easter holidays walking the Cleveland Way in memory of their beloved uncle.

Arthur Miners, nine, sister Molly, 11, and brother Thomas, 12, wanted to continue their efforts to raise money and awareness for Blood Cancer UK after their uncle Stuart Rasbeary died of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in 2017 aged just 35.

After raising almost £2,000 by walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks in 2022, the Richmond siblings tackled an even bigger challenge this year, walking the 109-mile Cleveland Way from Helmsley to Filey Brigg.

They kept going through all weathers, recording more than 114 miles by the time they reached the end point.

The trio completed the feat during their Easter holidays, walking for six days with only one day off.

Dad Ben said: "Everyone is so proud of them and their determination, and the perseverance they showed. Even though it was hard for them they were supporting Blood Cancer UK, a cause very close to their hearts and they knew they could keep going to help other families affected by blood cancer.

"They have had plenty of support along the way from fantastic friends and family walking small sections with them to keep them motivated. We feel so lucky to have such kind people supporting us and helping us raise over £1,500 so far."
