Two teenage boys have been arrested in possession of a knife after a raid on a house in Haughton Road, Darlington.

Police forced entry to the property and smashed through the front door with an enforcer.

The house was searched as part of an investigation into a large disturbance on Clifton Road on Tuesday evening.

Two 16-year-olds have been arrested and subsequently been charged with affray and possession of a knife in a public place.

Both have been remanded in custody and will appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court today.

Darlington and Stockton Times:

Officers forced entry to the property using an Enforcer, which resulted in damage to the front door. The property was secured by officers when leaving.

Darlington and Stockton Times:

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: "Two 16-year-old boys have been arrested and charged with affray and possession of a knife in a public place following the incident.

"The pair were remanded in custody to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court today."
