Forensic investigators have been working at a crime scene cordoned off by police in a County Durham village.
An investigation was underway in Staindrop, between Barnard Castle and Bishop Auckland, earlier on Saturday.
The nature of the investigation is not clear at this stage.
The force has been contacted for more information.
