Emergency services were called after a baby was trapped in a vehicle in a town's marketplace, with worried parents forced to turn to firefighters.
Crews of firefighters were called to Market Place in Richmond at about 3.30pm, yesterday (Tuesday, March 5) following reports of a baby trapped in a car after the keys to the vehicle were trapped in the boot.
After arriving on the scene, the emergency services worked to open the vehicle and reunite the baby with its parents.
Following the incident, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service issued a short statement about the incident.
The fire service said: "A crew from Richmond responded to a baby trapped inside a vehicle after the keys were left in the boot. Crews gained access to the vehicle and reunited the baby with their parents."
