Several roads have been closed due to flooding and snow build-up after parts of County Durham and North Yorkshire were hit with a 'wintry blast' overnight.
As temperatures were restored to milder conditions compared to what we've been seeing over the last few days in more urban locations, rural locations in both North Yorkshire and County Durham have been hit by snow, ice and isolated flooding.

The A177 Stockton Road, Sedgefield (southbound) is currently closed due to flooding, but council officials are reportedly on scene and will attempt to clear the water as soon as possible.
Elsewhere, the B6276 both ways from Black Bull Lane to Grassholme Lane in Grassholme was closed previously because of snow. It is currently passable with care.
Several other locations across the regions have woken up to snow, including Teesdale and Lanehead in County Durham and Blakey Ridge in North Yorkshire.
At Weardale Ski Club, near Daddry Shield, the snow has built up and the temperatures are just one degree - feeling like -1C.
Moving ahead, the weather for much of North Yorkshire and the North East will see warmer temperatures, but isolated wintry showers in hilly locations.

Today: Cloudy for most initially, with showers over western hills, possibly wintry over peaks. Drier further east, becoming brighter for all by late morning as western showers ease. Isolated blustery showers moving eastward later. Mild Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Tonight: Blustery showers spreading more widely through the evening, turning to snow over the Cheviots and Pennines. Drier overnight with clear spells, becoming cold with a risk of icy stretches. Windy. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
Tuesday: Dry for most initially, though cloud thickening through the morning. Rain likely arriving from the southeast from midday and lasting for the remainder of the day. Mild and increasingly breezy. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: Cloudy Wednesday and Thursday with showers or periods of heavy and persistent rain at times. Breezy. Drier and brighter with light winds Friday.
