Week of deals in Darlington as Restaurant Week returns

Starting on Monday, February 19, and running until Sunday, February 25, Darlington Restaurant Week is a great excuse to visit your favourite haunts and sample some of the town's newer eateries. 

The biannual, seven-day event offers fantastic deals, including special three course menus for £20 and under, at more than twenty identified venues; with more restaurants expected to participate during the week. 

A spokesperson for Darlington Borough Council said: "Whether popping out for a cheeky lunch or making a night of it, diners are guaranteed an enjoyable experience at a reasonable price.

"With a huge range of cuisines on offer, including Italian, Indian, tapas, street food, pub grub and more - there's sure to be something to delight everyone's palette and wallet!"

Cllr Chris McEwan, cabinet member for economy said, "Darlington Restaurant Week shines a spotlight on the many, high-quality places to eat in Darlington and our surrounding villages.

"It is a fantastic initiative which encourages people to visit the area and has been embraced and welcomed by local people and business owners, growing in popularity each year.

"We recognise that many people are experiencing financial challenges at the moment and luxuries like eating out are often the first sacrifices which are made. If you can afford it, please do try and get out to enjoy some of the fantastic deals on offer.
