Santa has been spreading Christmas joy in the Barnard Castle area by handing out presents from the back of a tractor.
His reindeer are resting ready for the big day so Santa has resorted to riding on the back of a 1957 Fordson Major.
John Moore, one of his elves, first started helping him deliver presents to children during lockdown.
It was the headmaster of Green Lane School's idea and it was such a success Santa decided to do it every year.
Mr Moore said: "It started in the first year of lockdown when children couldn't go and see Santa.
"We had to take him to the children.
"The idea was to go to the primary school to hand out some presents while staying at a safe distance
"You could see how much it meant to all of them.
"From then on we've done it every year. Santa gets on the back of the tractor and we go round handing out as many presents as we can.
"This year we must have handed out 600 presents.
"They are all donated from people in the area who want to get involved.
"It is entirely volunteer run and we don't make any money from it.
"Our pay is the smiles on the faces of all the children we see."
Pictures of the day:

Becca Simpson, Santa's elf which wrapped all of the presents, described what the reaction had been like from children in the area.
She said: "It's been absolutely fantastic.
"We have had the appeal for donations on Facebook and loads of people have got involved.
"It's been horrible weather today with all the rain but as we have travelled around there have been children waiting outside ready for us.
"All of the donations that we didn't hand out are going to the children in Darlington Memorial Hospital."
