The streets of Redcar were packed on Sunday night for the town's Christmas lights switch on and illumination parade.
More than 200 participants thronging Redcar High Street with artwork created with professional artists including lanterns and costumes that lit up the route from the Civic Centre into the town centre.
There were also professional performers before Santa himself arrived and the mayor switched on the lights.
Other major Christmas events in Redcar and Cleveland this year include Saltburn Ice Trail, Christmas at Kirkleatham and other lights switch-ons in towns and villages, including Guisborough and Saltburn.
