A surprise visit by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to Northallerton Silver Band's Autumn Concert, in All Saints Church, Northallerton, added a sense of prestige to the event.
The concert's theme, "Around the World", was well executed, taking the audience on a musical journey.
The repertoire, which included pieces including The Sound of Music, Macarthur Park, and The Best of Bond, showcased the band's versatility and talent.
Furthermore, the concert marked the end of musical director, Chris Britland's time with the band. Her contributions have been greatly appreciated, and her farewell concert was a fitting tribute.
Overall, the concert was a resounding success, with attendees expressing their enjoyment and appreciation for the performance. It was a memorable evening that celebrated music, fun and community.
Northallerton Silver Band will next play at the town's Remembrance parade. The Christmas concert will be on Saturday, December 2 at 7pm in Northallerton Town Hall.
The band is available for bookings. Contact members via the website: www.northallerton.band.
