Stokesley Repair Cafe organisers said they are delighted to be part of the Northallerton Eco Festival this weekend.
The event, on Saturday, October 28 from 11am to 4pm, takes place in Northallerton Town Hall.
Repairers will demonstrate skills for quick hand sewing fixes to inspire Northallerton residents to take part in their own repair cafe, coming soon.
The free festival will see local groups and volunteers work together as Climate Action Northallerton with Northallerton Town Council to provide interactive talks and activities celebrating ongoing environmental initiatives.
Events include a sustainable gardeners question time, conversation with an environmentalist author, a climate strategy Q&A session with councillors including North Yorkshire councillor and environment spokesman Greg White.
As well as the repair cafe, there will be chances to get hands-on with a guided walking tour of Northallerton’s wildlife and gardening treasures, a litter picking walk with the Wombles group, recycling, crafts and a free seed library.
The full programme can be found on the Climate Action Northallerton Facebook page.
