A popular Richmond antique and art shop has opened to the joy of shoppers.

Robinia Farnaby has taken over and rebranded the former BB & Beth in Finkle Street.

Customers will be able to find antiques, vintage paintings and pieces from local artists at the newly reopened Bb in Finkle.

Robinia's background in film, television and theatre has given her the expertise to display stunning pieces of art.

In the past, her clients have included the BBC, Granada TV, Ealing Studios, Blue Planet Aquarium, the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester and Yorkshire TV Studios.

Robinia said: "We want to inspire creativity and be able to design and source for clients who can always be sure to find something unique and beautiful. We look forward to growing with the guidance of our visitors and commissions.

"We have recently completed a piece for a local lady by hand painting intricate flowers onto a piece of furniture to match her existing William Morris fabric. The client was so pleased with the transformation, saying that she will cherish it forever.

Darlington and Stockton Times: Some of the art and pieces in the shop

"We feel so privileged to have the opportunity to be part of Finkle Street’s wonderful community.

"We have been so very well received both locally and by many visitors and we have already sent our painted furniture all over the U.K.

"We had a client from Paris delighted to find a vintage fabric, along with other buyers from Amsterdam, Berlin and Ireland.

"We are so happy to excite and inspire."

She has a dedicated section of the shop where she will also take on commissions to upgrade furniture.

Robinia is also happy to run workshops for clients to work on their own pieces.
