A VILLAGE turned out in force today in a remarkable show of community support for two young brothers whose parents died within months of each other.
Logan Clinton, 14, and brother Robbie, 12, unexpectedly lost mum, Shelley, in March, and their dad, Mike, died suddenly four months later.
Their 19-year-old cousin, Caitlyn, has devoted herself to looking after the boys in Darlington.

Robbie plays football for Hurworth Albion’s under-13 team and the club has been at the heart of a fundraising appeal, which is now set to top £20,000.
A football tournament was organised in the village this morning, with players each paying £20 towards the appeal. Raffles and tombolas were also supported by Middlesbrough Football Club, Middlesbrough FC Foundation, and Newcastle United.
Hurworth Albion chair, Kelvin Russell, said today: “The response has been absolutely incredible. We’re up to £17,000 with at least another £3,000 to be added after today’s tournament.
“It’s not just about raising the money – it’s also about showing the boys that they’re not alone and that the community is right behind them.”
Caitlyn, who brought the boys to the fundraising tournament, said: “The generosity shown by everyone, particularly Hurworth Albion, has been incredible. We’re humbled by all the support the boys have been shown – it means so much.
“The money will help with rent but I also want to take the boys away on holiday because they deserve it. And then I want to make sure they have a Christmas to remember.”

Robbie said: “It’s amazing – we can’t thank everyone enough for their kindness towards us.”
Chris Clinton, Mike’s older brother, addressed the crowd, saying: “Everything you are doing is making such a difference and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.”
A team made up friends and family was named 'Where's The Nearest Bar' in memory of one of Mike's favourite catchphrases.
