A former manager at one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants is opening a brand new lunch spot in Yarm.

Ben Draffan, 29, has announced he is excited to be 'bringing boutique bagels and beverages' to the popular high street.

Bagel Bros aims to provide a new hotspot for bagel lovers across the North East.

Ben came up with the name during New Years Day celebrations and it has stuck.

The 29-year-old used to work for Gordon Ramsay as manager of one of his London restaurants.

The owners said on social media: "Yarm High Street, we're coming for ya!

"Bringing boutique bagels and beverages to the day time dining scene.

"We're excited to bring a whole new lunch spot to Yarm.

"Ben is our Director of all Things Hole-y.

"The brains behind the business and chief bagel slinger.

Sabrina (Ben's better half) is in charge of all marketing and communications.

"We can't wait to welcome you into the shop and to see your tagged photos on socials."

Ben first went into the hospitality industry when he was just 16-years-old at a pub in North Yorkshire.

He decided to take a chance on moving to London where he worked for a number of different businesses.

He eventually became Youngs Brewery's general manager before joining Gordon Ramsay's restaurant, The Narrow in Limehouse.

It has subsequently been renamed Bread Street Kitchen On The River.

Sabrina, Ben's wife, joined him in London during 2017 but the couple decided to move back up north before Christmas this year.

It has cost them around £15,000 to transform the former beauty store into Bagel Bros.

The pair hope to open the shop in two weeks time and the menu will hopefully be finalised next week.

There will be a number of vegetarian and vegan options available.
