An opening date has been announced for the much-anticipated new Everyman cinema in Northallerton.
The firm revealed today that they complex, on the town's former prison site now known as the Treadmills, will open on Friday, May 19.
The cinema has four screens with 274 seats, all fitted with velvet sofas and armchairs, while customers can choose from an extensive food and drink menu, including a bar.
The venue is Everyman's 39th and stands on the old prison, which has been transformed into a leisure, shopping and business site.

A spokesperson for the company said: "Let Everyman Northallerton transport you to a different world and enjoy the ultimate cinematic experience in style."
