Prices are being reduced by an award winning community transport group to help passengers during the cost of living crisis.

Bedale Community Minibus has decided to cut its fares for regular services as well as halving its day and half-day hire rates.

The trustees have decided that as a not for profit transport provider in Bedale and the surrounding area it is vital that they continue to provide affordable transport for community groups from sports clubs to local organisations so that these essential elements of community life can continue at this difficult time.

With that in mind, half day hire fees have been cut from £55 to £25 and full day fees from £100 to £50. Individual fares on the weekly door to door Northallerton Market run and the organised community outings have been reduced from £6 per person to £5 per person.

The minibus, which is entirely staffed and driven by volunteers, hopes that in this way it can continue to support all the various strands of local community activity which require group transport. The minibus group can be contacted on 01677 425329, or at www.bedaleminibus.org.uk.
