Police in Richmondshire are investigating a hit-and-run crash in Wensleydale on Friday night.
The incident took place on the A684 between Swinithwaite and West Witton at 11.05pm on Friday and involved a grey Range Rover that was travelling towards Swinithwaite and a white Citroen Berlingo van with a roof rack that was heading in the opposite direction.
The driver of the van did not stop at the scene despite the vehicle sustaining substantial offside damage.
No one was hurt.
Following police enquiries the driver of the van was identified. He is due to be interviewed about the collision this week.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We are appealing to drivers who may have been in the area and have relevant dash-cam or properties along the route with private CCTV.
