An award-winning drama group returns next week with a production of West Side Story.
Crash Bang Wallop Youth Theatre will perform the show at The Forum, Northallerton from Wednesday, February 8 to Saturday, February 11.
Leonard Bernstein’s classic musical sees the Jets and Sharks fight it out in 1950s New York, at a time when gang warfare was becoming a serious social problem.
Tony and Maria, who come from different ethnic backgrounds, meet and fall in love, but then have to deal with the prejudice and hatred.
Crash Bang Wallop Youth Theatre, based in Stokesley, has become well known for exciting, professional and mature performances.
A spokesperson for the group said: "The cast have worked so hard, and the show is looking incredible. They wowed passers by in Northallerton on Saturday morning with short excerpts from the show, bringing some bystanders to tears. Book early, to avoid disappointment."
Tickets are £14 and £10, with a £12 concession available on Wednesday night and Saturday afternoon, from www.ticketsource.co.uk/crash-bang-wallop or The Forum on 01609 776230.
