Author David Jowsey visited Guisborough Bookshop on Saturday to promote and sell copies of his latest book, An Eagle amongst the Ravens.

The book is set in 1940 during the threat of invasion, when a boy, Robert, and his sister Peggy are evacuated to a small village outside Whitby. Unwanted and mistreated, they are cared for by a local family.

The children find themselves caught between a team of Nazi infiltrators, seeking a long-hidden secret from the heart of a wood, and the old hermit tasked to protect it. The secret has remained undisturbed and dangers face those who intend to disturb the shadows.
