THE proceeds of a popular music event have been handed over to the Friends of the Friarage.
The Barn that Rocks concert and raffle, returning after a two-year Covid-enforced break, was held by Peter Fall at Grazing Nook Farm, Patrick Brompton, in June. It raised £15,061.21 for the Friends of the Friarage – the fourth consecutive time the charity has benefited from the event.
The funds will go towards surgical medical equipment at the Friarage in Northallerton.
Lyn Proud, Friends of the Friarage fundraising trustee, said: “We were delighted to be a part of Peter Fall’s Barn that Rocks again this year. After all the difficulties of Covid it was wonderful to have the opportunity to enjoy local live music, meet old friends and raise funds for the Friarage Hospital. The event is always such a huge success and this year especially welcome after all the challenges over the last two years.”
Mr Fall presented a cheque for the total on Thursday, August 18.
The Friends of the Friarage raise funds for medical equipment and resources to support the work of the Friarage Hospital, for the benefit of patients and staff.
