Darlington Community Carnival is back next Saturday (June 25) to fill the town’s streets with music and entertainment.

A colourful procession, including tributes to popular west end shows such as The Lion King, Peter Pan, Frozen and Beauty and the Beast, will leave the Market Square at 11:30am.

Led by this year’s Carnival Charity, The Darlington Social Club for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the procession will feature schools, dance and theatre groups, choirs, a steel band, and samba and jazz bands.

The last community carnival was held in 2019 so organisers are hoping the people of Darlington are up for a party.
